Main Duties / Accountabilities:

• Provides technical support to the Fields on non-routine issues related to the operation of well and surface production / injection facilities and associated equipment. production engineering problems, related to quality control, surface and subsurface facilities. Initiates practical solutions, improvements and plant modifications, as necessary.
• Promote the implementation of reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Availability maintenance (RAM) and other reliability modeling methods. Translate the strategy into work procedures and quantify implementation cost benefit.
• Senior engineer specialist support shall highlight opportunities and present techno economic studies, to both Senior Management and Field/Terminal, on areas to curtail or improve operating cost and deliverables. This may include promoting and adopting new process technologies, automated data analysis software to improve operating practices.
• Studies / investigates unresolved problems associated with production equipment failures in the fields and follows-up remedial actions with the manufacturers / suppliers.
• Initiates studies to assist in solving current operational problems. Participates and may lead cross functional study groups / teams such as surface and down hole corrosion, water quality relaxation studies, etc.
• Senior engineer specialist support needs to reviews, as appropriate, proposed modifications to existing oil field system designed to improve production / injection facility efficiency. Monitors modification proposals initiated by operations personnel, to adjust or modify subsurface and well head equipment, flow lines, etc. Discusses proposals with Operations, PDD, and Drilling and / or Engineering personnel and recommends proposals for further consideration. Reviews all proposals to ensure they improve process operations. Advises and provides support on issues such as material selection for completion, down hole monitoring devices, etc..
• Develops and updates technical information, guidelines and operating manuals covering various aspects of production engineering operations. Endeavors to encourage and maintain consistency in operating and maintenance procedures by all Fields. Develops, reviews and updates technical manuals. Assesses present procedures and recommends changes and ensures the safe and efficient operation of equipment. Ensures that best operational practices are adopted by all field areas.
• Senior engineer specialist support coordinates and assists in the implementation of trials of new equipment in liaison with the concerned divisions. Assists in the selection of new equipment. Such as down hole separation, multi phase pumping, continuous down hole monitoring, composite materials for surface application, etc.
• Keeps abreast of production related new techniques / tools. Liaises and consults with service / manufacturing companies or consultants and communicates “knowledge” and methods of application to the operating centers.
• Makes appropriate recommendations as necessary.
• Arranges for technical presentations on subjects of interest.
• Publish reports and conduct workshops to support knowledge transfer and sharing of field operations best practices is part of Senior engineer specialist support. Publish cross field equipment performance and cost data/charts and identify areas for improvements with the necessary work plans. Identify best performing procedure, equipment/ material and conduct cost based analysis.
• Plans and participates in the ongoing training and development of assigned UAE national employees. Monitoring and reporting on progress and counseling employees as required.
• Knows the company Health, Safety and Environment Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility. Senior engineer specialist support shall ensures that work under his control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Conducts effective accident investigation and follow-up. Implements specific Safety Management System Program activities assigned to him.

• Carries out other similar or related duties such as representing ADCO in technical committees and providing the background studies, information and reports that would enable such function.

Communications and Working Relationships/Work Contacts

Senior engineer specialist support will regularly contacts with Fields / Terminal personnel at all levels and with other Divisions / Departments at own or slightly higher levels for discussing technical issues and providing advice. Occasional contacts with Budget & Cost Cost Control Department, and members of other ADNOC Group of Companies for attaining their know-how and information in the similar field of activities.

External

Frequent contact with shareholder representatives, other local OPCOs and technology providers to assess ADCO business requirements and the need to adopt changes.

Latitude Exercised, Decision Making authority and Responsibility

· Senior engineer specialist support will Reports to Team Leader (Specialist Support). Works independently on a variety of assignments specialized area to resolve chronic problems, enhance reliability and equipment performance, etc., according to Company policies, procedures and specialized professional standards. Work accomplishments are subject to general review and direction.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience/ (Key Competencies)

· B.Sc. Engineering, Science with emphasis on Process Engineering / Production.

· To apply for the Senior engineer specialist support, you have at least 12 years experience in the oil industry, experience in Process, Production and/or Production Operations with over 7 years in a supervisory position. Strong analytical capability and reviewing complex data.
